AppStateFans.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Appalachian State University or App State Athletics. We are fans. Team names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and nothing sold or posted here is official merchandise or an official statement of the University or its athletics department.

Who can use the site

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use the site with a parent or guardian’s permission. One person, one account — do not share credentials or create accounts to evade a moderation decision.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content for the purpose of running the site — including showing your post in the feed, on a forum board, in search results on the site, and in quotes by other members. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already made by other members (quotes and replies) and for backups we have not yet cycled out.

Only post what you have the right to post. Do not upload copyrighted articles, photos or video you do not own or have permission to use.

How you may behave

The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, doxxing, sexual content, spam or illegal activity. We can remove content and restrict, suspend or ban accounts that break those rules — see the Moderation Policy for how those decisions are made.

APP Points and Mountain Money

APP Points (AP) and Mountain Money (MM) are in-site features, not currency. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed for money, and we may adjust balances, earning rates and what they unlock at any time. If your account is closed, any balance is forfeited.

The Ticket Exchange is between you and the other fan

Ticket listings are peer-to-peer. We do not process ticket payments, verify tickets, hold funds, or take part in the transaction — we put two fans in touch by direct message and nothing more. We do not guarantee that any ticket is valid, that a seller will deliver, or that a buyer will pay. Meet safely, use a payment method with buyer protection, and treat every listing with the caution you would apply to any private sale.

The Fan Store

Store orders are paid through Stripe and fulfilled by a print-on-demand partner. Prices, availability and shipping estimates can change. Damaged or misprinted items are handled case by case — contact us within 30 days of delivery. Because items are printed to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. Nothing in the store is official App State merchandise.

Group donations

A private group can have a donation box. A card donation is charged by AppStateFans.com through Stripe and paid on by us to the group; Stripe keeps a fee, which the form shows and lets you cover. A Venmo or Cash App payment is between you and the organiser: the page only opens the app with their account and a memo; the money goes straight to them and never through us, so we cannot refund it or chase it. Donations are gifts to a group of fans, not to a charity, and are not tax-deductible. If a card donation went wrong, contact us.

AI on this site

Some content here is written by an AI assistant (“mounAIneer”), including chat replies, game-day threads and the rewritten summaries in Around the Internet. AI-written content is clearly attributed to the bot account. It can be wrong. Do not rely on it for scores, schedules, statistics or anything that matters — check the original source, which we link. We also use AI to help screen content for abuse and spam; a human reviews consequential moderation decisions.

Third-party links and content

The site links to and summarises articles published elsewhere. We do not control those sites, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Availability, and the legal part

The site is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or preserved forever, and we may change or discontinue any feature. To the fullest extent allowed by law, dotSimple LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes and closing your account

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted by the “last updated” date above, and continuing to use the site means you accept them. You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. Questions go to the contact page.
