How Groups Work

ASF StaffASF StaffOct 2, 2025 · 1 min read · 1 views

Groups Are Where Conversations Get Organized

Here’s the difference:

  • Main Feed: General chatter — “Did you hear this?”, “School XYZ did that”, “Olympics are wild!”
  • Groups: More focused. Examples include:
    • GameDay HQ: Pre-game hype, in-game reactions, and post-game takes.
    • Tailgate Central: Recipes, photos, check-ins, and finding your crew.
    • Rival Row: Trash talk, memes, lookalike threads, and roasting opponents.
    • Recruiting Hub (coming soon): Offers, commitments, recruit talk. Access is rank-gated.

How to Join

Head to Fan Network → Groups in the menu. Pick your group, hit join, and start posting.

Posting

Posts in groups are visible only to group members. Groups also have pinned threads for important or fun stuff.

Analogy

Think of groups as the best parts of Facebook + classic forums blended into one. Simple, modern, and built for Mountaineers of all ages.

Comments here are the same thread as the feed and the forum — one conversation, three places.

Commenting as a guest: no links, up to 500 characters, and every comment is checked for spam. Your first comments wait for a moderator — confirm your email (we send one link, nothing else) and once a few are approved they post straight away. Create an account to skip the wait and earn APP Points.
